Terms of Use

These terms explain what this website offers, what it does not do, and the responsibilities that apply when you use it.

1. Acceptance and scope

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and the related Privacy Notice, Important Disclosures, and, if applicable, SMS Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms govern website use; any paid service is also governed by the separate written agreement presented before you purchase.

2. Educational information—not professional advice

The website provides general educational material, planning tools, checklists, and links to official resources. It does not provide legal, tax, financial, credit-repair, loan-servicing, or individualized government-benefit advice. Content may be incomplete or become outdated as laws, rules, forms, and program availability change. Your circumstances may differ from examples or estimates shown here.

Calculators and repayment explorers provide illustrative estimates only. They are not official payment quotes, eligibility determinations, account reviews, or guarantees. Verify current information with Federal Student Aid and your loan servicer before acting.

3. Independent business and optional administrative services

USA Student Network is an independent business, not the U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid, a government agency, or a federal student loan servicer. Official federal information and application tools are available through Federal Student Aid at no charge. Purchasing an optional service is not required to access official resources and does not improve eligibility, approval odds, priority, or processing time.

Any paid service must have a written scope that identifies the work, exclusions, fee, timeline, cancellation/refund terms, and other relevant conditions before payment or work begins. No service is implied by browsing this site or submitting a general inquiry. Any additional or changed work must be separately explained and accepted. The public website does not itself process payments, activate subscriptions, or provide a secure document-upload portal.

4. Your responsibility for official forms and accounts

You are responsible for reviewing the accuracy and completeness of information, certifications, signatures, and submission instructions before submitting official materials. You remain in control of your StudentAid.gov account, passwords, identity verification, signatures, and final submissions. We will not ask you to provide your FSA ID password or one-time verification codes through this website. Do not submit full Social Security numbers, bank login credentials, or sensitive medical/disability records through ordinary contact forms or email.

5. Text-message programs

Our dedicated Text Updates & Offers and Client Text Updates pages allow you to choose whether to receive the text messages described on each page. SMS consent is optional, must be given by checking the consent box, and is recorded separately for the selected program. Entering a phone number on a general contact form does not constitute SMS consent.

These website forms record your opt-in; the site itself does not send SMS. Messaging provider configuration, registration, opt-out/HELP handling, and permission to send the actual content are separate requirements. Consent does not override a provider's or carrier's content restrictions. See our SMS Terms & Conditions and Privacy Notice.

6. Third-party links and tools

Links to Federal Student Aid, government forms, calculators, servicers, or other external services are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their availability, information, security practices, or terms. Review and follow the terms published by each third party.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the website to submit unlawful content, impersonate another person, interfere with site security, attempt unauthorized access, send spam, or disrupt services for other visitors. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, users, or business operations, subject to applicable law.

8. No warranties or guaranteed outcomes

The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that all content will be error-free, complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for your specific situation. We do not guarantee forgiveness, discharge, repayment-plan eligibility, application approval, savings, processing time, or a particular payment amount. Official determinations are made by the relevant agency or servicer.

To the extent permitted by law, USA Student Network will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

9. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, the website's original copy, design, and branding are owned by or used with permission by USA Student Network. You may use the resources for your personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, resell, or materially redistribute original website content without permission, except as allowed by law. Government resources linked here remain subject to the applicable government's terms.

10. Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as the website or applicable requirements change. Updates take effect when posted, except where applicable law requires another process. The date at the top of the page identifies the current version.
